The short version: We collect the information you give us and some basic technical data about your visit. We use it to provide our services, respond to you, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your phone number or text-message opt-in with anyone for their own marketing. You can contact us any time to see, correct, or delete what we hold.
01Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Vanguard Financial ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit vanguardfinancial.co, contact us, or use our services. It applies to this website and does not cover the practices of companies we don't own or people we don't employ, including the insurance carriers you may ultimately apply to.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, phone number, email address, and mailing address.
- Inquiry details — the type of coverage you're interested in and whatever else you include in a form, email, text, or phone call.
- Insurance and financial details — information needed to quote coverage accurately, such as your age or date of birth, tobacco use, general health history, coverage amount and budget, occupation, income range, and beneficiary information. We collect these in conversation with a licensed professional or on a carrier's application — not through this website's forms.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.
- Pages viewed, links clicked, time on site, and the page that referred you.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address.
Information from other sources
When you apply for coverage, insurance carriers and their underwriting partners — which may include MIB Group, prescription-history databases, motor-vehicle records, and consumer reporting agencies — may collect and share information about you with us, where permitted by law and with the authorization you sign as part of the application. We may also receive information from a referral source you asked to introduce us.
03How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your questions, return your call, and provide the services you request;
- prepare quotes and submit applications to insurance carriers on your behalf;
- verify your identity and prevent fraud;
- operate, maintain, and improve the site;
- send service messages, and — with your consent where required — follow-up messages about your inquiry;
- understand how the site is used so we can make it better; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, insurance licensing, and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human review.
04Cookies and tracking
We keep tracking on this site to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking. Our hosting provider records basic, largely aggregated request data — such as IP address, page requested, and browser type — to serve pages, protect against abuse, and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-out requests. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing for the signal to opt you out of, but we will treat it as a valid request in any case where it becomes relevant.
05How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with lead buyers, lead aggregators, or data brokers. We share it only in these situations:
- Insurance carriers and their underwriters — when you ask us to quote or submit an application, so the carrier can evaluate and issue coverage.
- Service providers — companies that host our site, deliver our email or text messages, or provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of your data to serving us.
- Professional advisors — our accountants, auditors, and attorneys.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or an insurance regulator, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent — any other sharing you direct or approve.
06Calls and text messages
When you give us your phone number through the callback form or by contacting us, you are asking us to call you about your request, and we will. Consenting to text messages is a separate, optional choice: the consent checkbox on our callback form is not required, is never a condition of receiving a quote or purchasing a policy, and leaving it unchecked does not affect the service you receive.
If you do opt in, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also opt out by calling (949) 988-4529 or emailing info@vanguardfinancial.co.
We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers are disclosed only to the service providers that help us deliver those messages, and to insurance carriers as needed to process an application you asked us to submit.
07Financial information
As a licensed insurance agency, we are subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and to state insurance privacy rules governing nonpublic personal financial and health information. We treat any financial, health, or account information you provide as confidential and use it only for the purpose you provided it — obtaining, servicing, or reviewing insurance coverage. Please do not send sensitive information such as account numbers or your Social Security number through unencrypted email or this website's forms; a licensed professional will tell you the secure way to provide anything a carrier requires.
08Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
- Deletion — ask us to delete it, subject to legal, insurance, and regulatory retention requirements.
- Communication preferences — ask us to stop calling or texting, unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom, or reply STOP to a text.
- Cookies — manage them through your browser settings.
To make a request, email info@vanguardfinancial.co or call (949) 988-4529. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
09California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@vanguardfinancial.co or (949) 988-4529. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. Note that information covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act is exempt from certain CCPA requirements.
10How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including TLS encryption of data in transit, access limited to licensed staff who need it, reputable hosting and carrier portals, and staff training on handling nonpublic personal information — designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
11How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance licensing, and regulatory recordkeeping requirements, which for insurance records generally extend for several years after a policy or relationship ends. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or de-identify it.
12Children's privacy
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Our services are intended for adults 18 and older. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us at info@vanguardfinancial.co and we will delete it.
13Other websites
Our site may link to sites we don't operate, including insurance carrier websites and application portals. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we'll provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
